DEADLINE DAY SWOOP www.chesterfield-fc.co.uk
The Spireites have made an emergency loan deadline day swoop by signing two players on loan until the end of the season.
Australian International left-winger Nicky Rizzo has been signed from League Two side MK Dons. The 28 year old former Liverpool trainee has had previous experience with Crystal Palace and Italian side Ternana and has made 52 appearances for the Dons.
Left-back Paul Boertien has also been signed on loan from Championship side Derby County. The 28 year old former Carlisle United defender has made 126 appearances for the Rams, including 11 this season.
Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "I have made lots of phone calls, especially since Spurs loanee Charlie Daniels was injured last weekend, so I am pleased we have eventually found two experienced left-sided players who will bring new options into the squad."
Both players go straight into the squad for the away trip to Yeovil Town this weekend.
Meanwhile, young defender James Meredith is returning to Derby County following the completion of his one month loan spell.
