Tranmere are having a poor season by their own standards, play off semi finalists last season and favourites for promotion this term, Rovers have disappointed, too many key players having off days. Rovers victory over Swindon midweek was their first away from home since New Years Eve and generally their form has never got going.

Only One of the Four Ex-Rovers players will be appearing on the Wirral on Saturday Afternoon, Paul Hall is the one, with Shane Nicholson, Wayne Allison and Reuben Hazell all out injured. Muggs again will deputise for Barry Roche with the Spireites likely to go with one upfront and that man being Folan.

We need to win this match if we are to claw back any chance of reaching them playoffs as our grasp begins to slip, other sides are picking up momentum and we appear on form evidence to be going backwards, still a win and we are safe with the likelyhood of a possible Wednesday return next season and a ground full do we want to go up as Forest are unlikely either? This is the only bonus as they are likely to be a few more high profile sides in our division.
