Niven had a great chance
It's not really possible for me to understate Peter Holmes importance to that side yesterday, Holmes was creater, defender and overall goalscorer in one of the impressive performances of the season. Holmes needs to be signed till the end of the season at least possibly on loan he wants the ball and he knows how to use it, he dominated the midfield yesterday and seemed to revel in the freedom of movement he was given instead of hugging the touchline he was told to do in his first two games a very impressive performance and quite rightly nominated by Richard Stacey as the Spireites World Man of the Match.

First Half we ok, well at least for 35 mins as Huddersfield change tact and decided to long ball it to Booth let's face it nothing else was working for them and then the balance of power changed and Huddersfield came into the game and deservedly got their equaliser. But it was us that the best two chances, Larkin who is horribly out of form had a shot tipped over the bar by Matt Glennon and had that gone in it would have been game over for the Terriers, then a through ball from Paul Shaw found Derek Niven with a smashing run from midfield and put the ball wide when he possibly could have kept his composure and slotted it past the keeper but midfielders rarely score from one on one's .

The game finished with a second yellow for Mark Allott and the subsequent red, first tackle was ruthless after he had been warned so correct decision and he went in hard on Danny Schofield but the jury's out with the verdict on if it warranted a second yellow Hazell got a yellow which means he will miss the Bournmouth game too.

Two mid-table sides lacking overall quality I think is the verdict of yesterday, it's vital we take a good performance and turn it into victory over a stuggling AFCB side next Saturday. We said that against Brighton and others so why can't we beat lower placed sides…..over to you Roy.
