The Sunday Review

Well it didn't work again, the umpteenth time we have tried a new striking partnership and we haven't scored. N'toya and McMaster was the preferred choice and it wasn't to be. Why oh Why Roy try's McMaster upfront I 'll never know he's not a striker at all and N'toya is a substitute at best at the moment he just quite hasn't got it. My preferred choice would be Wayne Allison and Mark Debolla but as Debolla is injured Tcham it would have to be with McMaster in midfield and drop Hudson (but that's a different story).

Yesterday we started brightly McMaster tried a few long range efforts with the Keeper having to save a couple. Alex Bailey was bombing down the right hand side and we having most of the ball and we looked comfortable as comfortable as we have most this season. Straight away into the 2nd Half Lord Blathers as a mate of mine likes to call him gave the ball away and as Blathers and Evatt tried to get back into position the ball was whipped in and the dangerous Lee Matthews flicked a header in that Marton Fulop had no chance of saving.
Game Over as we cannot score McMaster came off and N'toya for the Chief and Folan but to no avail we are woeful upfront as the stats show. If your left back is the joint top scorer then you are in trouble. We are also missing a decent midfield, Niven works really hard whilst Hudson seems somewhere else, if the rumours are true then Darlington is the most likely destination then then I think Roy should make a bold decision and drop him and play McMaster as the play maker which to me is his best position, but hey I'm no manager.

Man of the Match for me was Alex Bailey a tireless effort which was un-rewarded.
Derek Niven a shining light!
