STALLARD TO JOIN ON MONTHS LOAN

Last updated : 29 September 2004 By Paul Fisher
Barnsley striker Mark Stallard is to join Chesterfield on a months loan. As the spireites injury and suspensions list up this is the sort of cover we need. The 30 year old has been out of favour at Oakwell and has scored just once in 15 appearances since signing in January.
Stallard has scored over a 100 goals in 400 appearances in his career and is a regular scorer against the Spireites.

Blues Boss Roy Mcfarland is quoted on the official website " We need to supplement the squad in both midfield and upfront and the opportunity to sign Mark came along first"

With Caleb Folan out injured and Wayne Allison and Mark Debolla currently firing blanks we need competition in the striker area, this is a good deal for both. Stallard will go straight into saturday's squad against Bristol City at Saltergate.
