SPIREITES STRIKER IN INJURY BLOW

Spireites striker Caleb Folan will require a Hernia operation and is due to be out of action for six weeks. Folan with three goals this season has missed the last two matches after pulling up against Port Vale at Saltergate.

It's tough luck for Folan who was looking in good touch after an injury hit season previously, the spireites are now down to three recognised forwards in Wayne Allison, Mark Debolla and leading scorer T'cham N'toya although Adam Smith could play upfront if required.

Long term injuries are key for the Spireites current form as the small squad is being hit with a annoying ease at the moment, I wonder if manager Roy Mcfarland is beginning to wish that he hadn't termintated Stephen Warne and Ben Cressey's contracts.

On a more pleasing note Ian Evatt is due to be included in saturday's squad for the game against Walsall.
