Spireites sign Premiership Midfielder

The Spireites swooped today to sign Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara, the midfielder signed today after further news indicated that Sammy Clingan proposed move to Nottingham Forest will be completed tomorrow (friday).
O'Hara represents England at Youth Level and has been capped at U18,U17,U16 international standard.
The 19 year old goes straight into the Spireites squad to face Doncaster Rovers at Belle Vue on Saturday.
There was some confusion over the length of loan period that O'Hara will spend with us. Tottenham have now said that the loan period will be for three months after selling three players to Portsmouth later on this afternoon. Originally O'Hara was due to be here for the rest of the season.

Now the Signing of Sammy Clingan would have been useful, but after our initial £50000 bid was turned down Wolves were in no position to turn down £100000 from Nottingham Forest and Clingan was in no mood to turn down £3000 a week after we could probably guarantee £500.
Putting our faith in an untried 19 year old seems a massive gamble by McFarland that we are hoping to pay off. It seems likely that O'Hara will have to force his way into the team by starting out on the bench, but Mark Allot is a massive doubt for saturday so his debut may come quicker than he thought. Anyway, Welcome to North Derbyshire Jamie.
