Spireites Release Goalkeeper
Last updated : 30 March 2005 By Paul Fisher
It's always sad i find when a locally born spireite doesn't quite make it. Goalkeeper Andy Richmond signed professional terms in 2000 and had been understudy to Nathan Abbey and Carl Muggleton. He played nine games in the time he was here, with the last appearance being away to Bournemouth earlier in the season.
I always thought that the management never really had faith in Andy, even Dave Rushbury and Roy Mcfarland picked him sporadically, chosing loan keepers instead of Andy.
Compton Street would like to wish Andy well for the future we hear that Matlock Town are interested in signing him so good luck and we won't forget that save away at Northampton in December 2002.
