Chesterfield have no new problems for the trip to Morecambe. Defender Simon Ford and striker Jack Lester sustained knocks during the home victory over Lincoln but their injuries were nothing serious. Boss John Sheridan faces a selection dilemma. In two of the Spireites' last three away games, teenager Jordan Bowery has been the central figure. His introduction as a substitute at Port Vale saw Chesterfield rescue a point, while 10 days ago he scored in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy win at Walsall. This week he scored for the reserves in a 1-1 draw at York, reminding Sheridan that he is enjoying the form of his career. Sheridan has hinted that he may choose to rest Lester from time to time for away games, and the fact that the 34-year-old took a knock against Lincoln could come into his thinking. Sheridan`s second dilemma concerns defender and captain Ian Breckin. He is fully fit after a virus but midfielder Dwayne Mattis has done a terrific job in covering at the back. Should Breckin return, Mattis is bound to return to his normal position which means someone else will have to give way. Mark Allott, Danny Whitaker, Drew Talbot or Dean Morgan, all of whom have been in fine fettle of late, would be unlucky to find themselves dropped to the bench.
