Sheridan relieved with draw

Scott Boden scored an injury-time equaliser to help Chesterfield avoid only their second league defeat of the season after Stanley had opened up a 2-0 lead.

Sheridan said: "We did not deserve anything from the game and so we have got to be happy with a point. It was our worst performance of the season and I wasn't happy with it and I won't accept it but I am grateful for a point.

"We are top of the league and should be playing with confidence but we played like relegation candidates.

"Only Drew Talbot and the three subs - Jack Hunt who gave us drive and determination and Deane Smalley and Scott Boden who scored the goals - came out of it with any credit.

"This is the same team who got us to the top of the league but we weren't at the races. They were better than us in every department and I just have to put it down to a bad day at the office and hope it's a one-off."
