Boss John Sheridan believes young midfielder Craig Clay can learn from the experienced heads in the Chesterfield squad. The 18-year-old made his first senior appearance as a late substitute in the Spireites` 3-0 home win over Cheltenham on Saturday. Sheridan said: "I thought it was an opportunity to bring Craig Clay on. "He is a nice lad and I have told him to watch and learn from the likes of the (Danny) Whitakers, (Mark) Allotts and (Derek) Nivens who have played four hundred-plus games. That is what he is doing and he will learn."
