Sheridan holds hands up

An honest John Sheridan admitted his Chesterfield side were fortunate to come away from Northampton with a 2-1 victory under their belts. The Spireites had to come from behind to take all three points after being outplayed and falling behind to Kevin Thornton`s strike at Sixfields. Dean Morgan and Craig Davies secured the victory as Sheridan's men bounced back from Saturday's narrow defeat at Rotherham. Sheridan said: "I don't think we deserved to win the game, but I didn't think we deserved to lose on Saturday. You have to kick the ball better away from home and I'm not frightened to change my team for away games. "I wasn't happy with our first-half performance again and I had to shake a few players up at half-time. I let them know we weren't in the game, we are a top four side and we've got to have more belief. "But we responded well in the second half and kept the ball better. When Jack Lester came on it changed the game and I thought Dean Morgan made the difference for us."
