The runaway league leaders were stopped in their tracks by a 3-0 loss on Saturday.
However, after the 2-0 home defeat against Morecambe at the end of February Sheridan's men hammered second-placed Wycombe 4-1, while a 2-0 reverse at Crewe was then followed by a 5-0 drubbing of local rivals Rotherham.
Ahead of the visit of Macclesfield at the weekend, Sheridan said: "Usually we've responded well after a defeat, so I'm not getting too down.
"It was a bad day at the office and hopefully we can get the points on Saturday."
