McFarland says:

"Disappointed to lose in the manner we lost we created five good chances which should have won us the game"
"We picked our football up in the second half but what's done it for us is the injuries we've picked up".
"We had to change our system, and we were ambitious with our passing and when we went to 4-4-2 it contributed to the goal"
"I'm unhappy with the injuries we've obtained, I don't think that tonights defeat will destroy us and it's a case of we will play far worse and win"
"What pleased me was the amount of chances we created and the crossing which we had"

Surprising that Roy says the amount of chances we had, I think their keeper had about three or four touches of the ball and that's about it, we certainly had all the possession in the second half but alas we cannot hit a barn door with Folan upfront who is lacking form and confidence, surley this has to be down to a no-reserve team decision.

Hartlepool Caretaker Manager Paul Stephenson commented " I thought the crowd were immense they kept going and in the end they got their just deserts"

It was very worrying that we had all the ball and no killer touch to take it on, it's also very worrying that should the Chief get injured we have Folan as back up!
