After the Spireites thrashing of Rotherham here's what Roy Mac had to say about it.

"We had to bounce back after three defeats on the trot and the pressure was on to get a result. Both sides should have gone in at half-time 0-0 but we scored and that gave us confidence and relaxed the players in the second half we stepped up a gear and scored three very good goals".

Roy mentioned the changes in the team.

"The changes were forced, we were down to our last sixteen, we brought Jamie Jackson and Jamie Lowry into the squad, lowry was going to be on the bench if Adam Smith didn't pass a late fitness test".

Mentioning the Support of 2000 Spireites at Millmoor yesterday.

"I think our supporters who were tremendous today behind the goal, they were superb, I think they believe it as well and having belief today well your half way there, the player believe thay can make the playoffs so why not the supporters".

Rotherham Manager Alan Knill Spireites Four said "The formation that Chesterfield used to start with looked as if they didn't want to win the game as they didn't have too much ambition going forward". "We had most of the ball in their half but couldn't break them down and we conceded a disappointing free kick on half time which they score from".

Knill then rambles on for a bit about commitment, penalty in the first half even at one nil down etc. I noticed he mentioned that we didn't have too much ambition to win the game despite the fact that we have played like that all season away and won seven away matches maybe if he paid more attention to his opposition then he would realsie that we tend to catch sides on the break by playing with a dominent midfield rather than all out attack. Look you were never going to score in a month of sundays we had five or six chances and scored four of them that's the way it goes. Good Luck Rotherham for the future and the present!!
