"We're relieved in the end just scraping a point in which we deserved all three. A few penalty decisions were turned down where we could have gone on and won the game".
When asked about the soft goal we conceded.
"It was a setback, Roche's lost his footing, we lost possession in the middle of the park and the strike wasn't strong and it went in there's no blame to Rochey as he saved us at the death".
On Paul Hall's 100th League Goal.
"Hally's got his hundreth on the back of the Chief's 200th the old stagers are doing well for ourselves"
" The pleasing thing is we are Fifteen matches unbeaten, what we need to do is to win the majority of home matches where we can get into the playoffs, we've lost a bit of ground on the top two but if we keep plugging away we should be there or thereabouts".
Gillingham Manager Ronnie Jepson commented, " I'll take a point all day long here because Chesterfield is a difficult place to come, Roy has got a good side here with experience and good legs in the team".
Talking about our late leveller " It was disappointing to concede late on but you have to give Chesterfield credit, they got plenty of balls into Wayne Allison who is a target and they have some good runners off the ball"
So an honest assesment of the game from an opposition manager, unlike Mr Merson, Ronnie Jepson doesn't see things through his own tinted specs.
