Tcham joined the Spireites in March 2004 on loan from French side and our twin town Troyes on the recommendation of Jim Smith who was assistant boss at Portsmouth at the time. N'Toya came on as a substitute against Brentford at Griffin Park and showed some good touches he then made some sporadic appearances without troubling the back of the net. In the Summer Roy Mcfarland approached Tcham's agent to discuss a possible deal for the Congolese striker, Roy had major problems trying to broker a deal with the agent with various messages left for him and Tcham going missing at one point, Roy was beginning to lose his patience. Then a phone call from Tcham who was trying to change his agent and a deal was concluded and Tcham was here for the next two seasons.

The start of the season 2004-2005 was a blistering start for the Spireites and Tcham in particular, after a friendly win against Matlock Town in which Tcham scored and celebrated with a Lua-Lua trademark front flip or back flip whatever you call it that still makes me wince to this day he went on to score on the opening day after coming on as substitute for the injured Wayne Allison, he then scored 6 goals before Christmas sometimes as substitute sometimes as a starter. It was after the turn of the year that Tcham's form left a lot to be desired and he started to try too hard in my opinion and thus wasn't able to use his teammates as much as he appeared to want to score the wonder goal in every game he played. In the second half of the season he bagged just two goals away at Doncaster and in the very last game of the season at the County Ground Swindon.

Tcham picked up a niggling injury during the summer of 2005 and thus was only able to be a sub at best again making sporadic appearances during the course of the season and it was clear that the Spireites were looking to loan out the player.

Tcham received an offer to play with Conference side York City for a month and won man of the match in his first game again though without scoring, he infact got injured in his next game and that was it for York City. Towards the latter half of the season Tcham teamed up with Jim Smith who was announced as manger of Oxford United and he scored on his debut. Tcham managed to score three more goals as the season drew to a close and it was now clear that Tcham had to find a new club as his contract wasn't going to be renewed.

Tcham received an offer from Oxford but declined as Notts County came to fore and he has signed an agreement with them.

To me Tcham was nothing more than a showpony which is great when it works out or for the last twenty minutes but when called upon to lead the attack Tcham was found wanting on more than one occasion and thus didn't fulfil the attributes he had at the start of his Spireite career.

Thank you Tcham!
