LESTER BOOST FOR SPIREITES
The Spireites have been heartened with the news that striker Jack Lester may have escaped serious injury following a crunching tackle in the victory over MK Dons when he had to be stretchered off and receive hospital treatment.
An initial x-ray of his left ankle revealed no broken bones and a further scan this week suggests there may be no serious ligament or tendon damage either but the ankle is very badly bruised.
Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson said: "This is good news from what we first feared but it is still too early to predict how long he will need for a full recovery."
