Paul Shaw Signs

Last updated : 16 June 2006 By Paul Fisher
Paul Shaw signed today from Rotherham United on a two year contract after turning down several clubs and picking the Spireites.
Shaw who is 32 had an offer from the Millers but thought that the Spireites deal was better and that he could stay in the local area.

It's a big signing this for the blues as they looked to add to the squad with experience and shaw comes under this category, he started as a trainee with Arsenal before a period at Millwall, followed by a move to Gillingham and then a transfer to Sheffield United he went on loan to Rotherham before finally joining them for the last three months of the season and played aganst the Spireites in our crushing 4-0 defeat of the millers at millmoor.

Career:

Arsenal 13 apps 2 goals
Burnley (loan) 9 apps 4 goals
Cardiff (loan) 6 apps 0 goals
Peterborough Utd (loan) 14 apps 5 goals
Millwall 124 apps 31 goals
Gillingham 151 apps 29 goals
Sheffield United 40 apps 8 goals
Rotherham United 24 apps 6 goals

Just need a goalie and a central midfielder now and we can rest easy.
