News From the Rec

The Spireites are host to Bournemouth this coming saturday looking to improve on a woeful start to the home side of things this season. No wins and No draws at all so far, four defeats at the hands of Brentford,Rotherham and Tranmere in the League and Huddersfield in the Cup.

Sammy Clingan home debuts again!

Sammy Clingan will almost certainly make his second debut for us with Mark Allott pushing out wide to replace Paul Hall who has looked unimpressive so far but it's early days. We hopefully will abandon the rubbish 4-5-1 system which we used at Yeovil and Bradford and move to the traditional spireite system of 4-4-2 which should feature Folan and Larkin upfront, which has looked most impressive this season.

On another note the Youth Team are looking very impressive with three wins out of three and sitting pretty in second place behind Hull City. The Youth Team are playing away at Lincoln City this coming saturday 11am Kick off.

News on the injured defence is that Aaron Downes and Janos Kovacs are looking more likely to feature sooner than Alex Bailey who has just had his pot removed so expect him not to be available till the start of October at least.
