Ahead of the Spireites First Round tie against West Yorkshire's Huddersfield Town at Saltergate.

Chesterfield manager Roy McFarland will put defenders Janos Kovac and Steve Blatherwick through late fitness tests after they resumed light training.

But Alex Bailey (knee), Gareth Davies (groin) and Aaron Downes (ankle) will all be missing.

Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson must do without striker Andy Booth for the trip as he has a hamstring strain.

David Mirfin has a similar problem while midfielder Adnan Ahmed is struggling to shake off tendonitis.

The Main Stand is Ticket Only for Chesterfield Supporters. The Compton Street Stand and the Kop are pay on the gate.

Wednesday Night see's the return of Mark Hudson,Chris Brandon and Tony Carss. Hudson signed in the Summer by the terriers has already stamped his authority on the Galpharm by gaining three bookings in four games. Brandon who sparked a brawl at Saltergate by having new captain Shane Nicholson by the throat last season has been at Huddersfield for one season already and I would be surprised to see Tony Carss as he always appears to be injured.

Welcome Back Mark..........I don't think so.
