Tonight see's the Blues take on Brentford at Saltergate. Both sides started the League One campaign with a win, the Spireites came from behind to beat Blackpool whereas the Bees struggled to beat Scunthorpe at Home.
Last Season we beat Brentford 3-1 on the opening day of the season with goals from The Chief, Caleb Folan and Tcham N'Toya to go second in the table, this year we are top!
Slightly worrying was Roy Mcfarland's comment's that the Chief might not start the game against Brentford, surely he has to keep the winning side then bring changes on later in the match. What is pleasing though we now have a competitive side with people vying for places left, right and centre.

Derek Niven is back with the squad as his injury looks to have settled down. Niven will be considered for a place on the bench for Wednesday's game with Brentford.

Great Goal Blathers!

The Performances of Aaron Downes and Adam Smith were very impressive on Saturday. Downes and Smith both got tasters of the action last season. This year expect a bit more of a go.

Meanwhile the transfer of Janos Kovacs from MTK Budapest is waiting for international clearance. Kovacs has the national qualifications as he plays for Hungary Under 21's.
