Looking at Saturday's match we shouldn't lose but you know as well as I football is a "funny ol game" quote James Greaves ex Jack Daniels FC. Torquay United have never won at Saltergate I think they might be the only one however they won't find us with more confidence than the last time but we are certainly playing better than in recent weeks. The Spireites thumped the Gulls three to nil the last time we met in the never to be forgotten season of 2000-2001 and we would be looking for a repeat scoreline to be honest, we are unbeaten in twelve home games dating back to April of this year and we are in sixth place.
Torquay spent some cash last week with the purchase of Leon Constantine the former Peterborough player £75000 I wish we had that money to spend but we make do with what we have.
As for the latest injury list it now includes Wayne Allison who along with Derek Niven, Steve Blatherwick and Mark Debolla are in the doubtful frame. I would assume that Alex Bailey will be fit again to take his place in the back four with Gareth Davies dropping to the bench. Aaron Downes will partner Ian Evatt if Blatherwick is ruled out and Mark Stallard will partner Caleb Folan upfront if the Chief fails a fitness test.

We look forward to the big one on Boxing Day against Luton but we must concentrate on Torquay it'll be tough as they are down there in the dreaded relegation spots just like us last season and we must keep winning at home to maintain our position. I expect this game to be a hard fought one.
