NEWS FROM THE REC

So Chris Turner's out of a job will ex-spireites boss Paul Hart be too, Barnsley go into saturday's game with us in great form a 7-1 loss versus Manchester City. However Barnsley's victory over Huddersfield last saturday was a deserved one by all accounts.

We welcome back to the side Steve Blatherwick and Shane Nicholson from one match suspensions I would expect both to play with Alan O' Hare dropping to the bench and Mark Innes who covered for Nicholson to play in midfield to replace Derek Niven who as earlier reported is out for 3-4 weeks with a swollen ankle. It's rather unfair on O'Hare as he has performed superbly whilst covering for Evatt but now it's time for the experienced duo of Blatherwick and Evatt to come back with a vengence.

The last time we played Barnsley was at Oakwell and we secured our only victory away from home in 2003 at the last possible attempt, the score was 1-0 with a 80th minute winner from Glynn Hurst.

I'm expecting a backlash from Barnsley and I hope that we can cope with it they have two good former north-east strikers in Barry Conlon (ex-Darlington) and Michael Chopra currently on loan from Newcastle United.

If we are to avoid relegation which bearing in mind of where we are It's still the number one priority we must win games away from home which is what Roy Mcfarland has been saying all along let's hope on saturday we can make it a Oakwell double.
