So it's top v second in League one this saturday at Kenilworth Road, I still can't believe that we have been second for more than a day let alone a week still I'm not complaining.
Last night Luton lost in extra time to League two side Boston United (without Paul Gascoigne) 4-3, hopefully most of their players will be struggling come saturday as our guys will have had three extra days off.
Last Season we lost 1-0 to a Steven Howard goal at their place but we all remember the return game at Saltergate, Glynn Hurst 88th minute winner along with a few good results kept us up and grateful to Luton I personally will be for making a game of it and pushing us all the way. The Luton fans were terrific that day clapping us off at the end.
So we didn't play well at home to Milton Keynes and still got a point to say we played badly would be an understatement we were awful. But hopefully that's our first poor game of the season and how many had we played poorly this time last season let's just say it was more than one!
The Reserves got a useful victory over Doncaster Rovers midweek 6-2 with Mark Debolla getting a brace, we all know what Mark's capable of and I'm sure that he isn't to far in bagging his first this season for the seniors.
Ian Evatt has signed the contract that was offered to him and it keeps him at Chesterfield until 2007 (I was going to put Saltergate but fingers crossed this won't be the case).
Mark Hudson is yet to agree to his contract at current time of writing.
Unfortunately I cannot make the Luton game this weekend I shall be attending another match in a different country but I've got my spies at Kenilworth Road to update me.
COME ON YOU BLUES.
