Chesterfield midfielder Jamie Lowry has extended his contract by a further two years, which means he will now be staying with the Spireites until June 2010.
The 20 year old said: "I am really enjoying my football at the moment and am delighted to be able to extend my contract with Chesterfield."
He added: "I am really pleased that I have been able to make some impact this season and hope I can continue to perform well and we can push out of this division."
The former youth team player from Newquay in Cornwall has so far made 38 appearances for the Spireites since signing his first professional contract in July 2006 and has scored four goals, all this season.
