Chesterfield midfielder Jamie Lowry has targeted a Christmas return to action as he continues his recovery from cruciate ligament damage. Lowry, who recently signed a new one-year contract with the Spireites, is hoping to avoid any further setbacks in his rehabilitation after making just 15 appearances last season. The 23-year-old managed remains fully focused on his recovery and he told the club's official website: "It's good to be back with the lads now. Though I do feel a bit of the odd one out, but I have Aaron Downes with me on a similar programme, and he's a little ahead of me. "Realistically I have been told I should be back around Christmas time and anything ahead of December would be a real bonus. The main thing though is that don't pick up any further injuries which would set that back."
