Bradford make impressive progress on and off the field with a crushing 4-1 victory over Mid-table Exeter City in front of 12683. Peter Thorne in sparkling form with a brace to record eight goals this season, Michael Boulding with two to wrap up the victory for the Bantams and move them top. Matt Gill made the early breakthrough for Exeter.
Bury sit in joint second place after their 3-1 victory over Lincoln City who are yet to get a point away. Andy Morrell, Andy Bishop and Efe Sodje and a consolation was an own goal from David Buchanan from by all accounts a Janos Kovacs corner?!?!
Burys neighbours are Wycombe Wanderers who could only draw at home to Brentford. Shrewsbury Town hit Gillingham for Seven at home, goals from Michael Jackson, Dave Hibbert, Ben Davies (2), Graham Coughlan, Shane Candell-Sheriff and a Grant Holt penalty.
Aldershot lost at Luton 3-1, Luton's second and third coming in the final three minutes, The Shots Ricky Newman was also shown a red card. Darlington won at home to the disappointing Port Vale 2-1, goals from Darlo's Franz Burgmeier and the on loan Liam Hatch after Vale's Luke Rodgers had given the Valiants the lead.
Two goals in the final minute shared the spoils between Accrington and Notts County. Sean Canham put County in the lead before a twenty five yarder from James Ryan earnt Stanley the draw. A Kevin Ellison hat-trick kept up Chesters much improved form and left Grimsby searching for their first home win in a 3-1 defeat for the Mariners, a consolation from Danny North came in the second half.
The Millers left things late this time at the Don Valley to earn a point against plucky Rochdale. Jordan Rhodes on loan from Ipswich scored for Dale followed by another from Will Buckley. Rotherham came storming back though with a Rory Mcardle own goal and the Reuben Reid goal four minutes into injury time.Lee Thorpe was also sent off for Dale.
Macclesfield came away with all three points after the long trip to Bournemouth, Gareth Evans scored after 75 seconds. Evans then became the villan after he was sent off for clashing with Darren Anderton. Barnet are left still seeking their first win after a 1-1 draw with Morecambe, the impressive Albert Adomah opened up for the Bees but that was cancelled out by Diarmuid O'Carroll for the Shrimpers.
