Reuben Hazell the spireites centre-half has confirmed that he has signed a new 18-month deal which sees his contract expire in the summer of 2007. Hazell orginally turned down a new six month deal and was holding out for a longer contract which has been granted.
Rueben signs!

Phil Picken on loan from Manchester United has confirmed that he will be spending the rest of the season with us as his deal was due to expire on the 31st December 2005.
To stay till the end of season

And finally to the two Hurst's Kevan and Notts County's Glynn. Chesterfield born Kevan Hurst is to return to Sheffield United as the Spireites have turned down Neil Warnock's offer of a further three month deal but with an recall facility in place and knowing Colin's likeness for disrupting other teams loan deals then this is quite fair. So it's bye bye Kevan and thanks hopefully we shall see you at Saltergate playing for the Spireites but it's more likely to be from them South Yorkshire people's reserves!

Meanwhile Glynn Hurst is to leave Notts County after a blistering 18 months with them as he is there leading scorer with 13 goals. Hurst has signed an eighteen month contract with Shrewsbury Town, with the help of a certain David Reeves who was used on a consultation basis.

Forest tickets for tomorrow all sold out.
