Hartlepool parted company with their manager Martin Scott this week along with Reserve Team Manager Steve Agnew after an altercation with some of the Hartlepool players after the last home game a 3-0 thrashing by Blackpool. Hoping to step into the breach is former boss Chris Turner who enjoyed a succesful spell a few years ago getting to various playoff finals.

Pools season has been a frustrating one to date, currently struggling in the relegation places they haven't played like the side of last season that reached the playoff final and narrowly lost to Sheffield Wednesday. Neale Cooper took Pools to the Play off semi finals the year before and last season but resigned on the eve of the semi against Tranmere Rovers, there has been no explanantion for this to date.

Two years ago the Spireites were blown apart by Pools wide men and again the following season where we conceded two in the first eight minutes. We haven't won at Victoria Park since August 2000 with a 2-1 win in the promotion season.

Pools from: Konstantopoulos, D Williams, Tinkler, Clark, Humphreys, Sweeney, Robson, Maidens, Turnbull, E Williams, Daly, Clarke, Bullock, Foley, Barron, Nelson, Llewellyn.

This Hartlepool side is pretty much what has done the double over us the past two seasons, I'm very surprised as to pools predicament at the moment and with three changes in managers in the last three seasons it's very worrying for the supporters. Hartlepool is not a fans run organisation it's a compnay run spin off, this maybe where the problem lies. A Rotherham fan speaking after they drew with Pools last week said that they (Hartlepool) were awful and they were lucky to obtain the draw, once again I find this hard to believe but on the evidence of their earlier visit to Saltergate then maybe so, we won 3-1.
