Defender Alan Goodall is joining Chesterfield after his release from Luton Town has been finalised.
He has agreed a two year deal with the Spireites and all the paperwork is expected to be completed shortly.
The 26 year old who started his career with Bangor City spent three years with Rochdale before joining Luton Town in June 2007.
He played the full ninety minutes in Chesterfield's victory over Sheffield Wednesday at Saltergate in midweek.
