Former Spireite plays in World Cup

Former loanee Thomas Hitzlsperger played for Germany last night in the 3rd/4th Playoff match against Portugal which the germans wom 3-1. "Der Hammer" came on as substitute in the 79th minute for two goal hero Bastian Schweinsteiger as the Germans crusied to third place.
Hitzlsperger played for the Spireites in season 2001-2002 and played in six games before heading back to Aston Villa where last summer he made a move back to VFB Stuttgart in a move to make him more available for the german national side, if only Jurgan Klinnsmann thought the same.
