Paul Sturrock the Sheffield Wednesday manager made Peacock available to other clubs during the Christmas week and it's thought the Spireites we first in the queue.
With Wayne Allison not 100% fit and Caleb Folan not on form at all, it's an ideal situation for Town to bring a proven striker in. Something that Assistant Manager Lee Richardson mentioned that two players will certainly be brought in and one WILL be a striker.
Peacock has played for Manchester City, scumville and Bristol City. He currently plys his trade at Hillsborough where he has a record of 57 games and 9 goals which is hardly prolific but he could be the link we are after.

Other rumours doing the rounds are James Quinn currently a Peterborough United player who is or has been on loan at Bristol City, and Paul Peschisolido.
Somehow I doubt we can afford all of these players but stranger things have happened.
