Thomas Hitzlsperger scored twice coming on as a substitute for Germany in their 13-0 victory over minnows San Marino. "Der hammer" did'nt arrive on the field until the 62nd minute as a replacement for Torsten Frings. Goals also came from Bastian Schweinsteiger (2), Michael Ballack, Schneider, M.Freidrich,Lukas Podolski scored FIVE goals, Miroslav Klose and two from our former starlet.
Meanwhile in Belfast Ex-Spireite loanee Sammy Clingan starred for the Northern Ireland side who beat Spain 3-2 with Leeds Striker David Healy bagging a hat-trick.
