Talbot sidelined for Spireites
Drew Talbot will miss Chesterfield's home game against York having been withdrawn during half-time on his return from injury at the weekend.
Blues boss Paul Cook says the full-back will now take time out of the side in order to return to full fitness.
Cook dropped a strong hint at his pre-match press conference that Armand Gnanduillet will start against the Minstermen after the striker impressed from the bench on his return from a knee problem during the 2-0 home loss to Burton.
Defenders Nathan Smith and Ian Evatt, midfielders Oliver Banks and James O'Shea and forwards Gary McSheffrey and Marc Richards are also options for Cook, whose side still top Sky Bet League Two despite losing three of their last four league matches.
York teenager Ben Davies is hoping to return following injury and illness for the visitors.
Davies, on loan from Preston, missed the weekend defeat at Newport due to a thigh injury and tonsillitis but could be included in the starting line-up.
Right-back Lanre Oyebanjo is pushing for a recall following a recent thigh injury while winger Ryan Brobbel, plus strikers Richard Cresswell and Ryan Bowman are hoping to play bigger roles after stepping off the substitutes' bench at the weekend.
Forwards Michael Coulson (foot) and Chris Dickinson (ankle) remain sidelined, although the latter returned to training this week.
