Clean bill of health for Cook
Chesterfield manager Paul Cook faces a selection dilemma ahead of Rochdale's visit to the Proact Stadium.
Cook, who has a fully-fit squad available, must decide whether to make changes following the 3-0 defeat to Southend on Saturday or give the same players a chance to redeem themselves.
Despite beating Bury 4-0 the previous weekend, the Blues boss made one change at Roots Hall. Ian Evatt went straight back into the starting line-up on his return from suspension as Matty Brown made way for the Spireites skipper.
Brown, along with the likes of Sam Hird, Ritchie Humphreys, Sam Togwell, Tendayi Darikwa, Eoin Doyle and Armand Gnanduillet are all options for Cook while forward Dan Gardner may come into the reckoning for a full debut following a couple of impressive performances from the bench since his arrival from FC Halifax.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will again run the rule over Matty Lund before the trip to their fellow high-fliers.
The midfielder was absent for the weekend win over Plymouth after sustaining a knock in the previous 3-0 victory away at Hartlepool and the quick turnaround is likely to do him no favours.
Hill will otherwise have a fully-fit squad to chose from and has dilemmas of the right kind having presided over three successive wins in all competitions without conceding a goal.
One player who will not play a part is Godwin Abadaki, though, after he joined non-league Stalybridge on loan.
