Banks boost for Spireites
Ollie Banks has recovered from a dead leg to enable Chesterfield boss Paul Cook to name an unchanged side against Northampton.
Banks bagged his fourth goal in three matches on Saturday to set the Spireites on their way to a 2-0 home win over Wycombe before coming off after 62 minutes.
With the midfielder being fit for Tuesday night, the likelihood is Cook will name the same starting XI for the fourth successive match as the Blues chase a fifth straight victory in all competitions.
Full-back Nathan Smith (ankle) and midfielder Sam Morsy (knee) remain out while forward Gary McSheffrey has had a hip flexor problem.
Chris Hackett faces a fitness test ahead of bottom club Northampton's trip.
The winger had looked set to overcome a troublesome groin injury in time for Saturday's clash at Hartlepool but was deemed not quite ready as the Cobblers went down to a 2-0 defeat.
Fit-again trio Clive Platt, Matt Heath and Kevin Amankwaah all returned to the bench at the weekend and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to start against the second-placed Spireites.
Striker Roy O'Donovan remains unavailable as he works his way back from a hernia operation, while long-term absentees Kelvin Langmead (knee), Lewis Hornby (back) and Alex Nicholls (broken leg) continue to step up their rehabilitation.
