Chesterfield are likely to have an unchanged squad for the visit of Dagenham, although there is an outside chance that some players could return from injury to bolster manager Paul Cook's options.

Midfield trio Jimmy Ryan, Sam Morsy (knee) and Gary Roberts (hamstring) are fighting to be fit. However, Morsy may have to wait a little longer for his comeback from a two-month absence after this week suffering a setback in his recovery.

The League Two leaders' problems are easing with defenders Liam Cooper and Nathan Smith on the bench on Boxing Day after ankle injuries, with Cooper getting a 10-minute run out in the 1-1 home draw with Hartlepool.

James O'Shea, Matt Brown, Callum McFadzean and Gary McSheffrey were also among the substitute for that game and are options for Cook should he wish to make changes to his team on Sunday.

Dagenham boss Wayne Burnett must decide whether to freshen up his side.

Burnett described the club's 1-0 Boxing Day defeat at Portsmouth as "one of the most frustrating performances of the season" and is sure to be considering new faces just 72 hours later at the Proact Stadium.

The likes of Lawson D'Ath, Afolabi Obafemi and Josh Scott, among others, all come into contention for recalls.

The Daggers are not expected to boast any fresh injury or suspension concerns, although Billy Bingham (knee) and Matt Saunders (ankle) are likely to remain on the sidelines.
