Spireites defender Janos Kovacs sent off on Saturday at home to Southend has had his appeal rejected.
Kovacs appeared to handle the ball in front on the goal with three Spireite defenders and the goalkeeper behind him, it did in fact hit his shoulder but still the Referee gave a penalty and proceeded to send the Hungarian off.

A Spokesperson for The Spireites said "The club is shocked and amazed by the dismissal of the appeal, the club is very disappointed at the decision. At a cost if £500 the appeal is not taken lightly and in the case of such compelling photographic and video evidence the outcome points to having appeal procedures at all".
