BIG MATCH PREVIEW

Mad Dog Martin Allen

Brentford have an interesting manager, he shouts at you he bully's you (in a nice sense not the Keith Curle allegedly sense) and you may even get some cajoling from the sidelines. Martin Allen is a nice chap he raises money for charity after his father was diagnosed with Cancer, but he doesn't suffer fools gladly he tell's it exactly as it is. During the ticket fiasco for Brentford and their FA Cup fifth round tie with Southampton Allen warned the FA and the Saints infastructure that they may be trouble if the Bees don't get a further allocation for the game. Brentford lost the match and there was no trouble but Allen stood up and told the waiting press and wasn't fearful to do it either. Allen swims in  a river before every game and takes his squad to the army barracks for pre-season training, he even took his Barnet side last season to Yoga before a FA Cup tie. This man has talent unlike Barry Fry another TV manager.

The Spireites will be without Jordan Fowler, Mark Hudson and Adam Smith for saturday's game. Doubtful is Jamie McMaster who has an illness that he can't shake off, that would be a great shock for the Spireites as his partnership with Mark Debolla was working well. Chesterfield manager Roy Mcfarland has instructed the side to go for the play offs with six wins from the remaining nine matches that would give us 68 points which won't be enough for the play offs nice try though Roy. What he might do as he has hinted is go for the jugular with a three man attack on Saturday that would be The Chief, Debolla and McMaster playing behind the front two. Carlos Logan may play from the start with Niven and Allott in Midfield although that may put too much pressure on the defence especially against a Play Off chasing side. Brentford beat Oldham at Boundary Park on Tuesday 2-0 for the first time since the 30's. Last Season at Griffin Park an Ian Evatt goal in injury time secured a point for the Spireites which ultimately secured our League One status for this season.
