RESERVES?

Now I believe that the FA bend over backwards to accommodate the so called big clubs. For instance for the past few seasons now whoever has been in Europe have been excused/given a bye into the third round of the competiton as a reward for being better than the rest.
This "Reward" was only introduced when Manchester United started to play their reserves in the early nineties when they were walking the league season after season. So the FA being as they are and afraid to trample on the Premier League brought in a decision to change it so sides that qualify for Europe are allowed a bye into the next round.

Now forgive me for being slightly cynical here but what do the "Massive" clubs with this incentive do they continue to play there reserve sides and further devalue the competition.

Okay you may respond and say that Arsenal and Manchester United have made the quarter finals with there reserve teams and beaten sides who have played there first eleven but this still doesn't disguise the fact that the clubs continue to do what the Football League and the sponsors didn't want. The Football League have had massive arguments with UEFA over the winners prize of a european place but Manchester United and Arsenal and at a stretch Chelsea continue to walk on water in the FA's eyes.

Oh and Liverpool too!
