Reserve Team Game Off

Chesterfield were due to play a behind closed doors friendly this afternoon against Notts County at Saltergate, however several of the Youth Team have complained of Mumps so Spireite officials agreed to cancel the match. The first team squad have been told to stay away from the ground as a precaution.
One disappointment is that Chesterfield were due to play Crewe Midfielder Ben Rix with a view to a loan move. However the Crewe officials recieved a telephone call from Saltergate indicating an illness problem around the Club.

It is hoped that Rix can come to Saltergate later on in the week to train with the first team.
